Basic Count
How it works
A Basic Game Count survey is the the simplest & most cost effective way to get a general understanding of the wildlife a property holds. With state of the art thermal imaging & mapping software, we are able survey every acre of your property with pinpoint accuracy. As a result, there is little need for guess work or extrapolation of data.
Each basic Game Count survey concludes with a report & full flight video sent to the landowner. For privacy & intellectual property concerns we are not openly displaying a Basic Game Count report. If you’d like to view a sample report prior to booking your flight, fill out the form in our contact page. Once you have received the code you can view a demo report by clicking here.
Advance Count
Elevate the understanding of your property by upgrading to our Advanced Game Count Package. By integrating our drone's traditional zoom lens with its thermal camera, you'll receive quality images to go along with the thermal imaging. This package also includes a “highlight video” of your flight which condenses the lengthy full flight video into minutes.
This feature is essential for properties that house exotic species or for those aiming to deepen their understanding of the wildlife quality present on their land.

Interactive Map
How it works
Our customized Interactive Map & video feature is an extremely valuable & unique tool. This digital bird’s eye view of your property ties all the data collected from a survey into a visual concept. It is 100% customizable to fit your desired needs.
Our Basic Interactive map is included with all game count surveys and contains the following data: Property Boundary, Flight Route & animal sightings (unlabeled).
The Advanced Interactive Map is an enhancement of the basic map due to the categorization of animal sightings by species/sex. Each sighting is also designated a timestamp which allows viewers to seamlessly track and follow the full flight video.
For privacy & intellectual property concerns we are not openly displaying a functioning interactive map. If you’d like to view a model prior to booking your flight, fill out the form in our contact page. Once you have received the code you can view a sample map by clicking here.
Are Drone Surveys Effective?
Yes… when done correctly. Being South Texas natives, ranch owners & managers we are very familiar with our clients needs and challenges. So when first hearing about the idea of using a drone to conduct surveys at night, we were fairly skeptical… however after extensive testing on our own property along with several others across the region, we've crafted a model and approach to our services that we are confident deliver quality results and actionable data for ranch owners and managers.
Qualifications
Managing our own whitetail operation in Duval County, we have a great understanding of navigating South Texas properties. In the past year alone we have gathered over 200+ hours of flight experience. Our background in ranching along with time spent mastering drone technology is what we believe to be the perfect combination to assist landowners in optimizing their land management.
Check out our personal ranch website & see what we’ve accomplished utilizing some of the same services offered by Rio Vision Ranch Solutions.
Rio Vision Ranch Solutions holds a Commercial Aerial Wildlife Management (AWM) Permit with Texas Parks & Wildlife. All of our drones are registered with both the FAA and TPWD. This means that with written consent from the landowner, we have the proper authorization to legally fly over your property with the intent to count & photograph wildlife. Lastly, we are sure to guarantee that any pilot sent to conduct your survey will be certified with the proper credentials issued by the FAA.
